Mt Tamborine Residence

This single level rural residence was designed to take advantage of extensive coastal views over the adjoining valley, while also opening up to established gardens and fruit groves to the west. The central living space incorporated glass doors that slide and fold back to allow an open connection between the eastern lawn and the western gardens. This central outdoor/indoor space incorporated soaring skylighted ceilings with spotted gum cladding as well as stone clad fireplace for the colder months.

The main entry was centralized with public living spaces separated from the private sleeping quarters to the south. The linear planning allowed each bedroom to have panoramic views to the coast.
