Having started his career at Paul Uhlmann Architects in 2001, David Currie in an integral part of the team. David completed a Bachelor of Architecture at The University of Queensland, and met Paul while working at a local multi-residential Gold Coast architectural firm.

David collaborates closely with clients by undertaking a personalised approach in response to the site and the clients’ specific needs. Having spent his career solely on the Gold Coast & Northern Rivers, David has invaluable experience with an array of contractors and local authorities. During his time at PUA, David has helped Paul in mentoring a number of Students & Graduates, with his patient and kind approach revered by all.

Over his time at PUA, David’s key projects have included The Annex in Byron Bay, Hall Residence in Tugun and The Barn in Pullenvale. Having grown up on a cane farm in Mackay, outside of architecture David enjoys nothing more than the great outdoors; fishing, boating, 4WD and long walks on the beach with his Boxer, Charlie.
