Located along the beachfront of the Gold Coast, this three
storey residence is sited on a small, narrow, east facing site. The building
was designed in layers, which reflect the internal uses of the house. The
location of the living area on the first floor separates private bedroom spaces
both above and below.
A north facing courtyard allows solar access and cross
ventilation to all of the rooms within the linear plan. Extensive use of timber,
both externally and internally, reflect the owners love of all things nautical.
